@ Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden

Dr. Elif Eroglu is a Senior Researcher at Karolinska Institute. She earned her B.S. in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the Istanbul Technical University (Turkey) and her M.Sc from Stanford University (USA). During her PhD, Dr. Eroglu worked in the Knoblich Lab (Austria) to study the tumor-suppressing role of SWI/SNF complex in Drosophila neural stem cell lineages. In 2015, she moved to Sweden to join the laboratory of Dr. Kenneth Chien where she has since been exploring the role of epicardium in salamander heart regeneration. Dr. Eroglu’s vision is to extend her studies to understand how physical forces and cell-cell interactions guide tissue regeneration.
